This standard steel stringer bridge carries the Gateway Trail over Wheelock Parkway in St. Paul.
Built in 1938, the bridge features a single steel stringer main span, which is covered by a decorative concrete fascia. In addition, it is approached by concrete slab spans on either side. The entire bridge rests on concrete substructures.
This bridge features a common design. It appears to remain structurally sound.
